As one of the founders of Grandmother Circles — and as an Agregee/Consociate who joins the Marit CBO through Grandmother Circles 501(c)(3) — I have seen how one act of support can change a girl’s entire future. We are all volunteers: grandmothers, aunties, sisters, fathers, uncles, brothers, and grandfathers, giving our time because these girls matter.
The Marit Women notice the signs early: a girl sent home for school levies, a sudden drop in grades, a worried face, a child withdrawing into herself. When we step in, her world steadies. She can stay in school. She can imagine a future.
Every girl below was supported through high school and university:

- Rose A. National Youth Service trainee, Machakos County
These daughters of the community are lifted by 20 Kenyan women – 9 of whom have gone on to become Consociates in the St. Paul Province, extending the CSJ charism into their community. All serve without salary or stipend, offering their time, love, and leadership.
Since 2014, 71 girls have graduated from boarding school, and each year we commit to sponsoring 20 more for four years. With help from the Partners in Justice Fund, we have supported girls into university and watched them rise.
