Oriang women’s pottery shop: Thanks to 4 large water cisterns installed with funds raised by Grandmother Circles, a circle in the village of Oriang’ was able to open a pottery shop. With over 100 children in their care, the 23 women members of the Oriang’ women’s pottery shop now have a sustainable source of both water and income.

Their efforts were featured in Business Daily Africa.

Chickens and Chicken Coops. A circle of American grandmothers helped their Kenyan counterparts build a chicken coop. A donation of $50 provides seed money that grandmothers use to purchase chickens — or supplies for other cottage industries.
